Dmitri Valeryevich Lalenkov - Ukrainian actor and screenwriter. Honored Artist of Ukraine.
Place of birth. Education. Born in Stakhanov in the Lugansk region. Graduate of the Kiev Karpenko-Kary Theater Institute.
Career. Dmitri Lalenkov comes from an artistic family: his father worked in the symphony orchestra, his grandfather was a professor at the conservatory. It seemed that Dmitri would become a musician, but he was interested in boxing. 'I was quite good at it,' Lalenkov recalled those times. 'I even became a candidate for master, participated in various competitions, championships of Ukraine and the USSR, and won...'.
But the genes remembered themselves. Dmitri Lalenkov graduated from the vocal department of the music school. Later, in the military, he met the son of the famous actress Ada Rogovtseva and befriended him, who saw extraordinary acting potential in the boy.
Further education at the theater school, worked at the Russian Drama Theater named after L. Ukrainka in the capital for 14 years, played in about fifty artistic and television films: 'Living like a circus,' 'Noise of the wind,' 'Secondhand,' 'Caution, blondes!', 'Ash of the phoenix,' the series 'Lesya plus Roma' (in duo with actress Irma Vitovska) and others.
Wrote the script for a feature film on commission from France.
From 2009 to 2016, he worked in drama- and comedy acting on the left bank of the Dniester.
Awards. He received the award for best male role five times at the theater competition 'Kiev Pectorale.' Owner of numerous Ukrainian and international theater awards. Honored Artist of Ukraine.
Received Grand Prix at international film festivals in Locarno, Varna, Vienna, Paris.
Family. Was married to actress Elena Stefanskaya. Has two sons: Nikita (born 1990) and Ilya (born 2005).
