Wladimir Landik

Wladimir Ivanovich Landik - People's Deputy of Ukraine of the V and VI convocations of the Party of Regions.
Place of birth. Education. Born in the city of Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region. In 1972, he graduated from the Dnipropetrovsk Metallurgical Institute with a specialization in foundry.
Career. After graduating from the institute, Landik served from 1972 to 1994 in the administration of the penal enforcement of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Luhansk region. He retired with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
From 1994 to 1996, he was the director of OOO 'Nord-Service' in Luhansk.
From 1996 to 1999, he was the vice president of OAO 'Nord' in Donetsk, which produced household appliances under the NORD brand. He later headed OOO 'Nord-Service' in Luhansk again (until 2005).
Political career. People's Deputy of Ukraine of the V and VI convocations of the Party of Regions. In the VI convocation parliament, he chaired the subcommittee for citizens' free access to information and oversight of authorities' activities in the information space of the VR committee on issues of freedom of expression and information.
Member of the Party of Regions. He led the regional department of the Party of Regions in Luhansk.
From 1998 to 2006, he was a member of the Luhansk City Council.
Family. Married, wife is a housewife. Son Roman (born 1974).
Landik is the biological brother of the former deputy of the regions, owner of the Nord Group, Valentin Landik. The surnames of the politicians differ by only one letter.
