Julia Anatoliivna Laputina - Minister of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine. Counter Admiral, Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Major General of the SSU.

Place of Birth. Education. Julia Laputina was born in 1967 in Kyiv.

She received educational and psychological training. She defended her doctoral thesis in psychology and obtained the academic degree of Doctor of Psychological Sciences.

She has professional training in sport shooting.

Career. In 1992, Julia Laputina began her service in the Security Service of Ukraine as Deputy Head of a Counter-Extremism Unit.

After the establishment of the Anti-Terror Center of the SSU 'Alpha', she was invited as a senior officer. During her service, she participated in a number of complex operations to suppress the separatist coup in Crimea in 1994.

In 2008, she proposed the concept of the mental integration of Crimean residents into Ukraine, but after the takeover of power by Viktor Yanukovych - everything was halted.

From 2010 to 2012 she was Deputy Head of the 'A' Center for Special Operations of the SSU (Anti-Terror Special Unit).

On April 14, 2014, she landed as part of the first united group of the SSU at Kramatorsk Airport - the task force was guarded by 'Alpha'. Julia Laputina arrived as part of the group. Her mission was to establish contact with pro-Ukrainian activists, gather information, and transmit it to Kyiv. Laputina also needed to negotiate with local supporters of terrorists planning to storm Ukrainian checkpoints. A storm was successfully avoided.

From September to December 2014, she was the operational commander of the SSU in the Anti-Terror Operation (ATO) and performed tasks for the detention of participants of pro-Russian terrorist formations.

From 2014 to 2020, she was Deputy Head of the Counter-Intelligence Department to protect state interests in the field of information security of the SSU.

On March 25, 2020, Julia Laputina was awarded the military rank of Major General, becoming the second woman general in the history of independent Ukraine.

She is a member of the Advisory Council on the Affairs of War Veterans, families of the deceased (fallen) defenders of Ukraine.

On December 18, 2020, Julia Laputina was appointed Minister of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine.

Family. Julia Laputina is married. Her husband works with the SSU. She has two daughters.
