Place of birth. Education. Born in Kyiv. In 1982, he graduated from the Financial and Economic Faculty of the Kyiv Institute of National Economy named after D.Korotchenko with a specialization in 'Economist'.
Career. Wladimir Lawrentschuk began his professional career after graduation at the Ukrainian Republican Branch of the State Bank of the USSR as an economist. From 1988, he worked at 'Sparkasse Ukraine' in positions from Chief Economist to Deputy Chairman of the Board. From 1997 to 2002, he held the position of Chairman of the Board of JSC 'Ukrinbank'.

In October 2002, he became a member of the board of Raiffeisenbank Ukraine. From October 2005, he headed the board of Bank Aval, which was acquired by the Austrian banking group Raiffeisen from the deputy 'Our Ukraine' Fedir Shpyha and later renamed 'Raiffeisen Bank Aval'.
On August 20, 2019, Raiffeisen Bank Aval announced the change of CEO, Wladimir Lawrentschuk will be replaced by Alexander Pysaruk.
In 2020, he became an independent member of the supervisory board of the mobile operator Vodafone Ukraine. In the spring of 2021, he headed the regional branch of NEQSOL Holding, which owns Vodafone Ukraine. The Azerbaijani company Bakcell, which is part of the NEQSOL group, acquired the Ukrainian operator Vodafone for $734 million at the end of 2019.
Wladimir Lawrentschuk is a member of the advisory board of the GLOBSEC analysis center in the field of support for Ukraine, the supervisory board of the VoxUkraine analysis center, the Senate (supervisory board) of the Ukrainian Catholic University, and a member of the advisory board of Vodafone Ukraine. He was the vice president of the European Business Association.
Family. Wladimir Lawrentschuk is married and has two daughters.
