Alexander Alexandrovich Ledyda - former head of the regional administration of Transcarpathia.

Place of Birth. Education. Born in the village of Barvinok in the Uzhhorod district of Transcarpathia. In 1980, he graduated from the Uzhhorod Technical School for Electronic Devices. In 1989, he graduated from the Faculty of Economics of the Uzhhorod University with a specialization in National Economy.

Career. He began his professional career in 1975 as a locksmith at the Uzhhorod Machine Engineering Plant, where he continued to work after his military service (discharged in 1977). After graduating from the technical school, he was appointed as a technician-technologist.

1980 - worker of the Krasnoyarskles Combine.

1980-1982 - locksmith at the Vodrem-46 enterprise of the Southwesttransstroy Trust (Uzhhorod).

1982-1984 - locksmith in the mechanization department of the Southwesttransstroy Trust (Vinnytsia).

1984-1989 - senior economist at the Uzhhorod hardware plant Bolshevik.

1989-1991 - Deputy Chairman of the cooperative Vohnyk (Uzhhorod).

1991-1998 - head of a private production company Latex in his native village.

1998-1999 - Deputy Head of the Uzhhorod District Administration.

1999-2001 - Deputy Head of the Transcarpathian Regional Administration under Viktor Baloha.

2001-2002 - Head of the regional department of the Party of Regions for entrepreneurs, small, medium, and privatized enterprises of Ukraine.

Since 2004 - Head of the regional department of the Party of Regions in Transcarpathia.

In 2006, he was elected to the Transcarpathian Regional Council but declined the mandate, preferring to work in the Verkhovna Rada, where he was also elected on the list of the Party of Regions (under No. 149). His seat in the Regional Council was taken by his brother Ivan Ledyda. At the time of the elections, A. Ledyda was the head of the Village Council of the JSC Mezhgorsky Forestry Combine and his brother was a board member.

In March 2010, he was appointed as the head of the Transcarpathian Regional Administration by decree of President Viktor Yanukovych.

On March 2, 2014, he was dismissed from his position as head of the Transcarpathian Regional Administration by decree of the acting President of Ukraine, Alexander Turchynov, and Valeriy Lontsenko was appointed as his successor.

Family. Married, has two daughters - Yekaterina and Alexandra.
