Roman Nikolaevich Leshchenko – former Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine. Lawyer, lecturer, entrepreneur in the agricultural sector.

Place of Birth. Education. Born on November 23, 1988, in Pinyinzhkovo, Hristinovsky District, Chernihiv Oblast.

In 2011, he graduated from the Faculty of Law of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (KNU) in the field of 'Law'.

From October 1, 2019, to June 10, 2020, – Authorized Representative of the President of Ukraine for Land Issues.

From June 10, 2020, to December 2020 – Chairman of the State Service of Ukraine for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre (StateGeoCadastre).

On December 17, 2020, he was appointed Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

Member of the Permanent Legal Committee of the Scientific Council of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

On March 23, 2022, Roman Leshchenko submitted a statement about his resignation from the position of Minister of Agrarian Policy. On March 24, he was dismissed from the position of Minister of Agrarian Policy by the Verkhovna Rada, and the deputy and chairman of the Agrarian Committee Nikolay Solovsky was appointed in his place.

Business. LLC 'Progress' is a company engaged in agriculture, particularly in the cultivation of agricultural crops. Leshchenko also owns 50% of LLC 'Progress-Milk', which operates in dairy farming, and LLC 'Illumin', which conducts storage activities.

In July 2020, before his appointment to StateGeoCadastre, Leshchenko transferred these three companies as a gift, but the successor of the official's company was not specified.
