Eva-Maria Liimets is an Estonian diplomat, and was the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia (2021-2022).

Place of Birth. Education. She was born on May 31, 1974 in Tallinn, Estonia.

In 1996, she graduated from Tartu University with a degree in public administration, and in 2005 she completed the Estonian Business School with a master's degree in international management.

Career. In 1997, she began working at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

From 1999 to 2003 she was an economic diplomat at the embassy in Rome.

From 2003 to 2006 she was a second secretary in the political office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

From 2006 to 2009 she was the First Secretary and then Deputy Head of the Embassy in Washington.

From 2009 to 2014 she was the director of the Office of International Organizations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

From 2014 to 2017 she was the Consul General in New York.

From 2017 to 2018 she was an advisor at the European Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

From 2017 to 2021 she was the Ambassador of Estonia to the Czech Republic, Slovenia, and Croatia.

From January 26, 2021 to June 3, 2022 - Minister of Foreign Affairs in the government of Kaja Kallas.

Personal Life. Divorced, has one child.
