Place of Birth. Education. Born in Kyiv. Graduated with honors from Taras Shevchenko University of Kyiv in 2005 with a degree in Economic Theory.

Career. From March 2004 to November 2011 - M&A analyst at the investment company Golden Gate Business.

From November 2006 to August 2008 - Senior Advisor / Vice President in the Investment Banking Department of Dragon Capital Company. From August 2008 to November 2010 - Director of the Investment Banking Department at Dragon Capital.

From November 2010 to February 2015 - Managing Partner of ICON Private Equity - a direct investment fund in the markets of Ukraine, Russia, and the CIS countries with managed capital exceeding $1 billion. Nefyodov's responsibilities included managing the Kyiv office, overseeing the investment portfolio in Ukraine, Russia, and Europe.

As of February 2015 - Deputy Minister for Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine (initially for Aivaras Abromavicius, from April 2016 for Stepan Kubiv).

On November 18, 2016, Nefyodov was appointed as the First Deputy Minister for Economic Development of Ukraine at an extraordinary cabinet meeting.

On August 22, 2018, Nefyodov was appointed as the Acting Trade Representative of Ukraine.

On June 25, 2019, the commission of the Supreme State Service Corporation recommended to the Cabinet of Ukraine to appoint Maxim Nefyodov as the head of the State Customs Service of Ukraine.

On July 5, 2019, the Cabinet of Ukraine dismissed Maxim Nefyodov from his position as Deputy Minister for Economic Development and Trade (MEDT) and appointed him as the head of the State Customs Service (MTS).

On April 24, 2020, the Cabinet dismissed Maxim Nefyodov as head of the State Customs Service.

He led the list of the party Voice in the Kyiv City Council elections. According to the results of the elections on October 25, 2020, Max Nefyodov was elected as a city council member of the IX Kyiv City Council from the Voice party. The Voice party entered the Kyiv City Council and received 5.97% of the votes.
