Date of Birth: 25.05.1959

Place of Birth. Education. Born in Yuzhno-Kurilsk, Sakhalin. In 1986, he graduated from Donetsk State University.

Career. He began his professional career immediately after graduating from school. He worked as a lathe operator at the production association 'Toschmasch' and as a mine safety inspector in the mining district 'Oktjabrskoje'. From 1978 to 1980, he served in the military.

Since 1986, after graduating from Donetsk University, he worked as an assistant at the Department of Soviet History of the same university and from December 1986 to 1988 as a history teacher at School No. 70 in Donetsk.

1988-1990 - Instructor of the District Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine in Kyiv, 1990-1991 - Advisor of the Regional Committee of the CPU in Donetsk.

1991-1996 - Head of the department, deputy general director and general director of the insurance company 'Slawija - Donezk'.

From February 1996, he served as a Senior Specialist of the Donetsk Regional Administration and represented the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting in the Donetsk region on a non-profit basis.

From October 1996 to December 1997, he was the deputy head of the main department and head of the information policy department of the Donetsk Regional Administration.

1998-2001 - General director of the publishing and advertising group 'Prinz' LLC (Donetsk).

In 2001, he was appointed representative of the National Council for Television and Radio Broadcasting in the Donetsk region.

2002-2005 - Member of the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting.

Since August 2005, he has served as vice president of the 'Ukraine' television channel (part of the SCM media group controlled by businessman and politician Rinat Akhmetov).

On April 2, 2010, he was reappointed as a member of the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting by a decree of President Viktor Yanukovych. He was elected chairman of this regulatory body.

On July 7, 2014, he was dismissed from his position by decree No. 573/2014 of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.
