Oksana Marchenko

Place of Birth. Education. Born in Kyiv. In 1995, she graduated from the historical faculty of the National Pedagogical Dragomanov University in the capital.
Career. Oksana entered television in 1992 with a win in a competition for amateur hosts while still a student. At only 19 years old, she became the face of national channels - first YUTAR, then UT-3 and UT-1 ('Streams on Tuesdays', 'Good Morning, Ukraine!', UTN).
In 2000, Oksana founded the television company 'Omega-TV'. She first debuted on UT-1 with the socio-entertaining show 'My Profession', later with the political talk show 'Hour'.
Since 2003, 'Omega-TV' has produced the documentary series 'Names' - a series about outstanding individuals whose fates are connected to the history of Ukraine. These films have been broadcast on UT-1 and Inter.
From November 2007, she was the author and host of the 'Oksana Marchenko Show'.
From 2009 to 2014, she hosted the talent show 'Ukraine's Got Talent!' on STB.
From 2010 to 2017, she hosted the singing talent show 'X-Factor' on STB.
In 2017, she hosted the show 'Time to Build' on the Inter channel.
In 2018, she participated in the show 'Dancing with the Stars' on the 1+1 channel.
Awards. In 2004, the 'Names' project (author and host Oksana Marchenko) received the 'Golden Feather' award for the best educational program on television.
In 2009, she ranked 84th in the ranking of the most influential women in Ukraine by 'Focus' magazine.
In 2010, she received the 'Teletriumph' award for Best Host of Entertainment Programs (project 'Ukraine's Got Talent!'). In 2011, she received the 'Teletriumph' award in the category 'Host of the Entertainment Program' (project 'X-Factor').
In 2011, she received the prestigious award from 'VIVA! Ukraine' magazine - 'The Most Beautiful Woman of Ukraine'.
In 2010, 2011, and 2012, she received awards as 'Favorite Host of Entertainment Shows in the Country' at the 'Telestar' awards.
Sanctions. On February 19, 2021, the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, chaired by President Volodymyr Zelensky, imposed sanctions against Oksana Marchenko, Viktor Medvedchuk, and a number of individuals and legal entities associated with them. The reason was involvement in financing terrorism. The sanctions are valid for three years and include, among other things, the freezing of assets of Medvedchuk and Marchenko. In response, Marchenko joined the pro-Russian party Opposition Bloc - For Life.
On February 18, 2022, Oksana Marchenko fled Ukraine for Belarus.
In April 2022, the assets of Oksana Marchenko were confiscated.
Hobbies. Cooking, collecting paintings and books (the home library contains rare first editions of Pushkin and Gogol), swimming, rollerblading.
Family Relationships. First husband Yuri Vitalyevich Korzh (born 1970) - founder and CEO of the internet providers 'Global Ukraine', son of Vitaliy Terentievich Korzh (born 1938), president of the company 'Global Ukraine' and former member of the Ukrainian parliament in the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc. Son Bogdan Marchenko (born 1997). Married in October 2020, their son Viktor was born in March 2021.
Second husband (since July 18, 2003) - a member of the Verkhovna Rada of the IX convocation from the Opposition Bloc - For Life party, former head of the Presidential Administration Viktor Medvedchuk. The couple has a daughter Darina (born 2004).
