Duško Marković - Montenegrin politician and lawyer, Prime Minister of Montenegro (2016–2020).

Place of Birth. Education. Born on July 6, 1958, in Mojkovac, Montenegro. He attended primary and secondary school in Mojkovac. Studied law at the University of Kragujevac, Serbia.

From 1983 to 1986, he worked in the legal department of the 'Brskovo' mine in Mojkovac and was also politically active at the local level.

Political Career. From 1989 to 1991 - President of the Municipal Assembly of Mojkovac.

From 1991 to 1998, he was the Secretary-General of the Government of Montenegro.

From 1997 to 1998, he was a member of the Skupština.

Until 2005, he was the Deputy Minister of Interior for State Security.

From 2005 to 2010, he headed the National Security Service of Montenegro.

In 2010, he became a Minister without Portfolio in the government of Milo Đukanović, and in the same year, he became Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice in the new government of Igor Lukšić. He retained his positions in the next government of Đukanović, formed in December 2012.

In 2011, he was elected a member of the Democratic Party of Socialists at the party congress.

In 2014 and 2015, he served as the acting head of the Ministry of Culture.

In 2015, Marković was elected Deputy Chairman of the Democratic Party of Socialists of Montenegro.

From November 28, 2016, to December 4, 2020, he served as the Prime Minister of Montenegro.

Family. Married, has three children.
