Vasily Evgenievich Marmazov - Ukrainian lawyer and diplomat. Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Korea (2011-2017). Honored Lawyer of Ukraine (2007), Doctor of Law, Professor at the Department of International Law and Comparative Jurisprudence of the Law Faculty of Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Place of Birth. Education. He was born in Donetsk. In 1984, he graduated from the Law Faculty of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv State University. Doctor of Law, Professor.

Career. From October to November 1984, he was an intern and lecturer at the Law Faculty, from November 1984 to November 1986 a doctoral student at the Doctoral Department of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv State University.

From November 1986 to July 1996, he was an assistant at the Department of History and Theory of State and Constitutional Law of the Law Faculty of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv State University.

From June to December 1995, he was a visiting lawyer at Linklaters (London, UK).

From December 1995 to June 1996, he was a visiting researcher at the University of Cambridge (UK).

From July 1996 to August 2000, he was a lecturer at the Department of Theory and History of State and Constitutional Law of the Law Faculty of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv State University.

From September 2000 to July 2003, he was a doctoral student at the Doctoral Department of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

From June to October 2001, he served as secretary of the European Court of Human Rights (Strasbourg, France).

From July 2003 to October 2005, he was Deputy Minister of Justice of Ukraine (Alexander Lavrinovych).

From October 2005 to December 2006, he was President of the Lawyers' Association 'Juris' (Kyiv).

From December 2006 to April 2008, he was Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine for Relations with the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and other state bodies (Vasili Zushko, Yuriy Lutsenko).

From July 2008 to June 2010, he was Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine (Lutsenko, Anatoliy Mohylyov).

Since June 2010, he has been Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Ukraine (Zushko).

From December 2010 to July 2011, he was Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine (Andrei Kliuyev).

On September 1, 2011, he was appointed Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Korea by order of President Viktor Yanukovych.

On January 23, 2017, he was dismissed as Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Korea by order of President Petro Poroshenko.

Since 2018 - Professor at the Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Family. Marmazov's father was Yevgeny Marmasov, a former deputy of Ukraine from the Communist Party.
