Place of Birth. Education. Born in Rivne. In 1982 he graduated from the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (Industrial Electronics, Engineer for Electronics). Doctor of Technical Sciences.
Career. 1982 - Regulator of radio devices at the 'Radiopribor' factory named after S. Korolenko (Kyiv).
1983-1986 - Young scientist at the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
1986-1990 - Head of the design bureau for automated systems at the Rivne Radio Plant. At the same time, he was a lecturer at the Ukrainian Institute of Water Management Engineers (1989-1990).
1990-1992 - Director of the small enterprise 'Vostok-Program'.
1992-2001 - Director of the production, trading, scientific-technical, and investment company LLC 'Renome'.
2001-2005 - Chairman of the board of JSC 'Renome'.
2005-2006 - Chairman of the supervisory board of JSC 'Renome'.
On May 18, 2006, he was appointed head of the Rivne Regional State Administration by decree of Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko. He replaced Vasil Chervoni in this position.
Deputy in the Rivne City Council (1998-2002), Deputy in the Rivne Regional Council for two terms (since 2002).
From 2001 to 2005, he was a member of the People's Movement of Ukraine. In 2005 he joined the party 'People's Union Our Ukraine'. Chairman of the political council of the regional organization of VSU in Rivne.
In the winter of 2010, he resigned as head of the Rivne Regional State Administration and took the oath as a deputy in the Ukrainian parliament, the Verkhovna Rada. Viktor Matchuk replaced the deceased deputy Ivan Spodarenko, who passed away on December 17, 2009, in the ranks of NUANS.
In July 2012, he renounced his deputy mandate. Viktor Matchuk explained his decision to leave parliament by stating that he had terminated his membership in the 'Our Ukraine' party, which had elected him. Sergei Luzenko, the brother of former Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko, entered parliament in his place.
In the local elections in October 2015, he ran as a deputy in the Rivne Regional Council on the list of the Agrarian Party of Ukraine but was not elected.
Title. Honored Builder of Ukraine (1998). Awarded the Order of 'For Merit' III class.
Family. Wife Alla Matchuk (born 1959, Candidate of Philological Sciences, lecturer at the Rivne State Humanities University). Daughter Oksana (born 1983).
