Place of Birth. Education. Born in the village of Chorbivka, Kobylyatsky District, Poltava Oblast. In 1983, he graduated from Taras Shevchenko University of Kyiv (Law, Jurist).
Career. 1973-1975 - Carpenter construction worker at Lubensky-SMU Trust Kremenchugstroy (Poltava Oblast), worker at the Poltava Cotton Spinning Factory, worker at SMU Poltavzavodstroy (Poltava).
1975-1977 - Service in the Armed Forces.
1983-1987 - Intern, assistant to the prosecutor, senior assistant to the prosecutor of the Shevchenko district in Kyiv.
1987-1991 - Prosecutor of the Department for Systematization and Dissemination of Soviet Legislation, Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
1991-1997 - Prosecutor of the Railway District of Kyiv.
From April 1997 to April 1999 - Prosecutor of the Kharkiv District in Kyiv.
April to December 1999 - First Deputy Prosecutor of Poltava Oblast.
From December 1999 to November 2001 - Prosecutor of the Vatutino District in Kyiv.
From November 2001 to March 2003 - Head of the Department for Monitoring Compliance with the Laws by the SBU, the State Customs Service, and the Border Guard during investigative and pre-investigative actions of the Kyiv Prosecutor's Office.
From March to June 2002 - Head of the Department for Monitoring Compliance with and Application of the Laws of the Kyiv Prosecutor's Office.
From June 2002 to May 2007 - First Deputy Chairman of the Solomiansky District Council in Kyiv.
From May 2007 to November 2010 - First Deputy Chairman of the Pechersky District Council in Kyiv.
On November 24, 2010, he was appointed Chairman of the Podil District Council in Kyiv by the order of the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych.
On February 4, 2013, he was dismissed from the position of head of the Podil District Council by order of the President. The dismissal of the heads of the Podil, Sviatoshyn, and Holosiivskyi District Councils was submitted by the head of the Kyiv City Council Administration Alexander Popov due to inadequate organization of snow removal in the areas entrusted to them.
