Alexander Mesheryakov

Date of Birth: 11.04.1951

Place of Birth. Education. Born in the village of Rossoshi, Tokiy District, Voronezh Oblast. In 1973, he graduated from the Odessa Institute of Engineering and Building Construction and received a degree as a construction engineer specializing in 'Industrial and Civil Construction'.

Career. Since 1973, he worked in the construction administration of the Black Sea Fleet of the USSR and was involved in the construction of military facilities.

1979-1984 - service in the group of Soviet troops in Germany.

1984-1990 - served in the Odessa Military District in the positions of chief engineer and head of the construction administration.

In 1990, he was appointed deputy commander of the Siberian Military District for construction and accommodation of troops.

In 1992, after the collapse of the USSR, he continued his service in the armed forces of Ukraine. In September 1992, he was appointed first deputy chief for accommodation and capital construction of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

After retiring with the rank of lieutenant general, he worked from September 2003 in the state company Ukrspetsexport.

From September 2004, he served as an official in the Security Service of Ukraine and was also responsible for matters of organization, construction (including housing construction), and solving economic and social issues of the personnel and employees of the SBU.

At the same time, he continued to deal with the social adaptation of military personnel, also with the support of organizations from the Kingdom of Norway that funded programs for the training of military personnel and their family members.

From June to December 2010, he was the deputy chairman of the Kiev City Council Administration (first - under Leonid Chernovetsky, then - under Alexander Popov). He supervised the main department for urban planning and architecture, the main department for capital construction, and the main department for housing supply.

Awards. He was awarded the title of 'Honored Builder of Ukraine' (1995).

Family. Married, has one son.
