Biography of Lev Mirimsky
Date of birth: 02.04.1960
Place of birth. Education. Born in Simferopol to a family of employees. Graduated from the Simferopol Railway Transport Technical School after eight grades. In 1995, he graduated from the branch of the Moscow University of Management and Commerce. In 2001, he graduated from the Ukrainian Academy of State Administration under the President of Ukraine and received a master's degree in public administration.
Career. From 1979 to 1981, he served in the ranks of the Soviet Army. From 1981 to 1983, he worked as a construction technician at the Simferopol City Construction Combine. From 1983 to 1984, he worked as a construction technician at the Kyiv District Consumer Union (Simferopol). From 1984 to 1987, he worked as a construction technician at the Simferopol City Construction Combine. From 1987 to 1989, he was the director of the cooperative 'Progress' (Simferopol). From 1989 to 1993, he was the director of the joint venture 'Leko' (Simferopol). From 1993 to 1994, he was the president of the corporation 'Empire' (Simferopol). From 1994 to 1998, he was a people's deputy of Ukraine of the II convocation. From 1998 to 2002, he was a people's deputy of Ukraine of the III convocation, a member of the faction of the 'Labor Ukraine' party and a member of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on combating organized crime and corruption. From 2002 to 2006, he was a people's deputy of Ukraine of the IV convocation, a member of the Committee on combating organized crime and corruption.
Founder of the political party 'Union', a member of which he has been since 1997. Since December 2005 - Chairman of the 'Union' party and head of the Crimean regional organization of the party. From 2006 to 2012, he was a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the head of the faction of the 'Union' party. Since December 2012, he has been a people's deputy of Ukraine of the VII convocation, a candidate from the 'Union' party in single-member constituency No. 2 in AR Crimea. Deputy Chairman of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada on foreign affairs. Member of the permanent delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. In 2008, according to the weekly 'Comments', Mirimsky's capital amounted to $180 million.
Death. On April 26, 2017, Lev Mirimsky suddenly passed away at the age of 58.
Awards. Honored Economist of Ukraine. Awarded the Order of Peter the Great for significant contributions to the development of Russian-Ukrainian relations.
Family. The politician is married. He has three children (a daughter and two sons).
Hobbies. Considered one of the best poker players in Ukraine.
