Biography of Valeriy Vasyliovych Patskan

Date of Birth: 21.04.1975

Valeriy Vasyliovych Patskan - former head of the Accounting Chamber, People's Deputy of Ukraine of the VII and VIII convocations. Honored Lawyer of Ukraine (2017).

Place of Birth. Education. Born on April 21, 1975, in the village of Zolotarevo, Khust district, Transcarpathian region. In 1999, he graduated from the Law Faculty of Uzhgorod State University with a specialty in "Jurisprudence".

In 2005, he graduated from the Economics Faculty of the Zakarpattia Institute named after A. Voloshin of the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management with a specialty in "Banking".

In 2015, he received a PhD degree in Legal Sciences with a specialty in "Constitutional Law, Municipal Law".

From 1995 to 1996, he served his mandatory military service in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Career. In 1999-2000, he began his career after graduating from Uzhgorod State University as a chief specialist in the legal department of the Transcarpathian regional office of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine.

In 2000-2001, he held the position of legal advisor at the Perechyn Timber Plant.

In 2001-2002, he was the deputy head of the Law Department of the Zakarpattia Institute named after A. Voloshin of the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management.

In 2002-2004, he worked as the deputy director of the Uzhgorod branch of JSC PrivatBank.

In 2004-2008, he was the director of the Zakarpattia Directorate branch of JSC Industrial-Export Bank.

In 2008-2012, he held the position of general director of LLC Karat Motor.

Political Career. He started his political activity in 2001 as the head of the executive committee of the Transcarpathian regional organization of the Reform and Order Party.

In 2010, he became a member of the UDAR Party (Ukrainian Democratic Alliance for Reform) led by Vitali Klitschko.

In 2011-2014, he held the position of head of the Transcarpathian regional organization of the UDAR Party.

In 2015, he became the head of the Transcarpathian territorial organization of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc "Solidarity" Party.

On March 15, 2018, the Verkhovna Rada appointed Valeriy Patskan as the head of the Accounting Chamber.

On April 10, 2023, Verkhovna Rada deputies expressed no confidence in the head of the Accounting Chamber Valeriy Patskan, who is suspected by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of corruption.
