Pavlo Andreevich Kukhta - First Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine (2019-2020).
Place of Birth. Education. Born on December 3, 1985, in Kyiv. Graduate of the National Technical University of Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
In 2018, he studied at the Aspen Institute Kyiv.
Career. Economist at the Centre for Economic Solutions, Author of publications and research papers on macroeconomics and budget. Former economic journalist and publicist.
Since 2015, a member of the Supervisory Board of the Reform Monitoring Index iMoRe by VoxUkraine. Assistant to the deputies of the VIII Parliament Yaroslav Markevych (Self-Reliance) and Ihor Lutsenko (Fatherland) on a voluntary basis.
From 2015 to 2019, Advisor to the Minister of Finance (Natalia Yaresko, Oleksandr Danyliuk, Oksana Markarova).
From 2016 to 2019, Advisor to the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Volodymyr Groysman.
Since 2016, Deputy Chairman of the Strategic Advisory Group for Reform Support and the Expert Group on Tax Reform in the Rehabilitation Package of Reforms.
On September 6, 2019, he was appointed First Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine.
On March 10, 2020, he was appointed acting Minister for Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine.
On April 14, 2020, the government approved the dismissal of Pavlo Kukhta from the position of First Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture. Kukhta submitted his resignation immediately after the appointment of the new Minister Ihor Petraschko.
Political Career. In the early parliamentary elections of 2019, Pavlo Kukhta ran for the IX convocation of the Voice Party, No. 25 on the list. In November 2019, his registration was canceled at his own request.
He was the program director of the Voice party. He led the development of the party program and legislative initiatives, headed the expert team.
Family. On June 4, 2022, Pavlo Kukhta married the former press secretary of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Julia Mendel.
From his first marriage, he has a daughter, Yaroslava.
