Oleg Vladimirovich Pokalchuk - Social psychologist.

Place of Birth. Education. Born in Luzk. He received biological, literary, and psychological education at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and at the Maxim Gorky Literature Institute in Moscow.

Career. He taught Western literature at the Pedagogical Institute in Luzk.

He was a member of the Union of Writers of Ukraine, co-founder of the 'Memorial' society, the Lion's Club, and the People's Movement. One of the initiators of the revival and the first head of the post-war place. Diploma for the first 'Chervona Ruta' in the author's song genre.

As a writer, he debuted with narrative works in the field of scientific fantasy in the 1980s and was a member of the International Literary Society SFRA for the study of the fantastic. He has been published in Ukraine and Russia. His most important works include 'Contact of the Fourth Level', 'Smalta byuttya', 'My Songs', 'How to Sit in the Corner Without Thinking About the Bear'.

He translated poems from Polish, Spanish, English, and Lithuanian.

He is the author of scientific articles and methodological works on topics such as social fears, political leadership, and political elite. He was an advisor to several well-known Ukrainian politicians, social and political movements and parties.

Until September 2006, he was the chief specialist of the press department of the Ukrainian government.

Family. Brother - writer, translator Yuri Pokalchuk (1941-2008).
