William Arthur Philip Louis is the eldest son of King Charles III of the United Kingdom and his first wife, Princess Diana, as well as the grandson of Queen Elizabeth II. Since September 9, 2022, after his father Charles III ascended the throne, he has become the Prince of Wales.

Place of Birth. Education. William was born on June 21, 1982, at 9 PM in London, in the Paddington district. He was the first heir to the throne who was not born in the royal palace - he was born at St. Mary's Hospital in London.

On August 4, 1982, the prince was baptized in Buckingham Palace by the Archbishop of Canterbury and received the name William Arthur Philip Louis.

William began his education in 1990 at Ludgrove School in Berkshire, which he completed in 1995. It was a boarding school, and William, like everyone else, even lived in a room with four other students. At school, he was the captain of the hockey and rugby teams, enjoyed swimming, played football and basketball well, and often represented the school in cross-country races.

After school, William attended Eton College, where he studied geography, biology, and art history. He was always a diligent student and received good grades. Thanks to his sociability, tact, and modesty, he quickly connected with his peers. After graduating from college, he worked and engaged in charitable work to represent Her Majesty in New Zealand during the celebrations of the 60th anniversary of the end of World War II.

Military Service. In May 2006, William entered the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. In December 2006, he received his officer rank and joined the Royal Horse Guards Regiment as a lieutenant. After completing flight school in 2009, he was transferred to the Royal Air Force as a pilot. He served as a helicopter rescue pilot. His service as a helicopter pilot ended in September 2013.

Pilot Work. In 2014, it was announced that the Duke would work as a pilot in the East Anglian Air Ambulance Service, which is based at Cambridge Airport. His salary was donated entirely to the charity fund of the ambulance service. In July 2017, the Duke left his job at the ambulance service to take on more royal duties on behalf of his grandmother, the Queen.

Sports. In May 2006, William became the president of the English Football Association. Due to his sporting spirit and support for the Aston Villa football club, the prince expressed a desire to inspire as many children as possible to participate in football.

Family. On November 16, 2010, the engagement of William and his longtime girlfriend Kate Middleton was announced. The wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton took place on April 29, 2011, at St. Peter's Cathedral in Westminster Abbey. After the wedding, the couple received the titles of Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

On July 22, 2013, at 4:24 PM, Prince William and Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton welcomed their son George Alexander Louis.
