Place of Birth. Education. Born in Kramatorsk, Donetsk Region. In 1999, he graduated from Donetsk State University with a degree in law.

Career. From 1998 to 2005 - intern, assistant, senior assistant, deputy prosecutor general of Kramatorsk.

2005-2006 - deputy prosecutor general of the Kirovsky District in Donetsk.

2006-2007 - Deputy of the Ukrainian Parliament of the V convocation from the Party of Regions (No. 128 on the election list). According to the website of the Verkhovna Rada, he was deputy prosecutor general of Horlivka in the Donetsk region at the time of the elections.

2007-2012 - Deputy of the Ukrainian Parliament of the VI convocation from the Party of Regions (No. 149 on the election list). On January 16, 2014, he voted for the 'dictatorial laws' - a package of anti-democratic laws that significantly restricted citizens' rights and freedom of speech.

During the events of Euromaidan, he disappeared from Ukraine and went into hiding prior to the investigations.

On March 5, 2014, the Council of the European Union approved the freezing of the assets of ousted Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, his sons Alexander and Viktor, former Prime Minister Nikolai Azarov and his son Alexei, brothers Andrei and Sergei Klyuev, former Prosecutor General Viktor Pshonka and his son Artem, businessman Sergey Kurchenko - a total of 17 individuals from the circle of former officials and associates of ex-President Yanukovych, suspected of misappropriating state funds.

July 17, 2015 The Security Service of Ukraine announced that Artem Pshonka was wanted. Artem Pshonka is suspected of committing a crime under Part 5 of Article 191 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code (embezzlement or misappropriation of property through abuse of power).

On March 4, 2016, the Council of the European Union extended the 'freezing' of the assets of 16 former high-ranking Ukrainian officials and individuals from their surroundings. The sanctions also affected Artem Pshonka.

April 20, 2016 Interpol declined to issue an international warrant for Artem Pshonka.
