Wladislaw Raschkowan

Date of Birth: 23.05.1978
Wladislaw Leonidovich Raschkowan - deputy managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) from Ukraine. From November 2014 to August 1, 2016, he held the position of deputy head of the National Bank of Ukraine, responsible for the reform and transformation of the bank.
Place of Birth. Education. Born on May 23, 1978, in Odessa. In 2000, he graduated from Odessa State Economic University and began doctoral studies focused on the study of efficiency improvements in bank mergers. From 2001 to 2003, he completed an internship on his research topic at the University of Genoa and the Institute of World Economy of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
He is fluent in English and Italian.

Career. From 2006 to 2010, he held various positions at UniCredit Bank. Wladislaw Raschkowan joined the UniCredit Bank team in Ukraine for the merger project of UniCredit Bank and HFB Bank and took on the role of head of the local project office for the merger. After the merger of the institutions was completed, he led strategic project management and business development at UniCredit Bank, including the transformation project of the acquired UkrSocBank.
Since 2011, he has chaired the Banking Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine and was a board member of the Kyiv School of Economics.
From 2010 until April 8, 2014, he served as Chief Financial Officer and board member of UniCredit Bank.
From April 8 to November 25, 2014, he was the Director of the Strategy and Reform Department of the Banking System of the National Bank of Ukraine and a board member of the NBU. His duties included developing and implementing the reform strategy of the banking system until 2020, including the internal transformation of the NBU as an institution and supervisory authority.
From November 25, 2014, to August 1, 2016, he served as executive deputy head of the National Bank of Ukraine and a board member of the NBU.
Since February 27, 2017, he has been the deputy managing director for Ukraine at the International Monetary Fund.
Family. Married. The family has two children: daughter Sofia and son Alexander. Daughter Sofia lives and studies in the USA.
