Dmitriy Rogozin

Dmitriy Olegovich Rogozin is a Russian politician and propagandist. Director of Roscosmos (2018–2022), representative of Russia in NATO (2008-2011), former member of the State Duma of Russia. Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, responsible for the military-industrial complex (2011-2018).
After the annexation of Crimea by Russia, he is on the sanctions list, which imposes a travel ban in the USA, Canada, EU countries, Switzerland, and Australia, as well as the freezing of assets in these countries.
Place of Birth. Education. Born in Moscow in a family of an officer - military scientist. In 1986, he graduated from Moscow State University with a degree in 'Journalist-International Relations', and in 1988 he graduated from the economics faculty of the Higher Party School of the Moscow City Committee of the CPSU.

He was co-chairman of the Union for the Revival of Russia and one of the initiators of the re-establishment of the Cadre Party of Russia. From July 2002 to August 2003, he was responsible for negotiations with the European Union and the Republic of Lithuania as the Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin for issues related to ensuring the viability of the Kaliningrad region in light of the EU enlargement.
In September 2003, he was elected co-chairman of the Supreme Council of the electoral bloc Rodina (Popular-Patriotic Union) and head of the election staff at the founding conference of the bloc.
In December 2003, he was elected as a deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation of the fourth convocation. Co-chairman of the Rodina faction (National-Patriotic Union), member of the Committee for International Affairs.
In December 2006, at the Congress of the organization Congress of Russian Communities, which had changed its name to Rodina, he was elected to the chair.He was the chairman of the party Rodina until March 2006.

Sanctions. On March 17, 2014, sanctions were imposed against Rogozin and other Russian and Ukrainian politicians for publicly calling for the annexation of Crimea, which included a travel ban to the USA, Canada, EU countries, Switzerland, and Australia, as well as the seizure of assets in those countries.
On December 29, 2015, the SBU declared Rogozin persona non grata in Ukraine and forbade him from entering the country.
Since June 21, 2018, Rogozin has been on the sanctions list of Ukraine.
