Sergey Anatoliyovych Sednev - Ukrainian biathlete, coach of the Ukrainian national biathlon team.
Place of Birth. Education. Born in Gluchiv, Sumy Region. Graduated from Gluchiv National Pedagogical University.
General Information. Physical data: height 1 m 78 cm, weight - 71 kg.
Coach: Yevgeni Kolupayev, Alexander Moskalenko.
Competed for the sports club 'Dynamo'.
Sports Career. Sergey Sednev celebrated his first serious international success in 2004 when he became the bronze medalist of the Junior World Championship 2004. In the same year, he made his World Cup debut. The Ukrainian won his first 'adult' podium at the end of 2007 when he finished third in the individual race at the World Cup in Pokljuka.
European Championship 2009 (Ufa) - Silver in the 12.5 km pursuit race.
European Championship 2009 (Ufa) - Bronze in the 20 km individual race.
Shortly before the 2010 Olympics, Sergey Sednev won a gold medal for the first time. This happened on January 21 in the individual race in Antholz, Italy.
December 10, 2010 - Second place in the sprint in Hochfilzen, Austria.
In 2011, he won the bronze medal at the World Championship in Khanty-Mansiysk as part of the Ukrainian relay competition.
At the end of 2014, he announced his retirement from active sports career.
Since May 2015, he has been the coach of the Ukrainian national biathlon team.

Sports master, member of the Ukrainian national team, bronze medalist of the World Championship in the relay, silver medalist of the European Championship, winner and multiple medalist of World Cup races in biathlon, multiple champion of national championships and Ukrainian championships, champion of the XXII World Winter Universiade, at the XXIII World Winter Universiade, he won 4 medals (2 silvers, 2 bronzes). Participant in the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
