Achtem Schevketoich Seitablaev - Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar film actor, theater and film director, screenwriter, honored artist of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
Place of Birth. Education. Born in the city of Yanguyul, near Tashkent, on December 11, 1972. He comes from a family of deported Crimean Tatars. After graduating from school in 1989, he moved with his family from Uzbekistan to Crimea, where in 1992 he graduated from the acting department of the Crimea Cultural School (class of A. Zhukova). In 1999 - he graduated from the directing and dramaturgy department of the Kyiv State Institute of Theater Arts named after Karpenko-Kary (class of G. Kononenko).
Career. From 1992 to 2004, he worked at the Simferopol State Theater for Crimean Tatar Music and Drama, directing plays such as 'My Love for Electra' (based on the play by Hungarian playwright Laszlo Durko), 'The Forest Song' by Lesya Ukrainka, 'Bravo, Amadeo!' (based on the tragedy by Alexander Pushkin) and his diploma performance based on 'The Bachchisarai Fountain' by Pushkin.

In 2003, he made his film debut, playing a role in the Ukrainian drama by Oles Sanin 'Mamay'. He worked as a second director on films such as 'Mamay', 'Tatar Triptych' (directed by Alexander Muratov), in which he also played one of the main roles, for television (TV channel 'Pro-TV').
He then starred in series such as 'Return of Muhtar-2', the film 'Golden Boys', 'Wild', and in the Ukrainian feature film by Nikolai Maschenko 'Bogdan-Zinoviy Khmelnitsky'.
Since 2005, he has been a member of the ensemble of the Kyiv Academic Theater for Drama and Comedy on the left bank of the Dnipro.

In 2013, the historical war drama 'Haytarma' was released. Achtem Seitablaev dedicated this film to a difficult time in the history of his people, the Crimean Tatars. The film's plot is based on real events. Seitablaev himself played the role of the main character in this film, the war pilot Amet-Khan Sultan. The film received the award from the National Union of Filmmakers of Ukraine in the categories 'Best Film of the Year' and 'Best Feature Film'. The film 'Haytarma' received the main prize at the 'Korona Karpat' Festival in Truskavets, was awarded best film and Achtem Seitablaev was honored as best director of the year 2014 at the Italian 'Kimmmery' festival in Termoli.

On August 23, 2019, the Ukrainian Oscar Committee selected Nariman Alyoev's drama 'Home' as Ukraine's national candidate for the 'Oscar' for best foreign language film.
On July 8, 2021, the first Ukrainian-speaking film of director Roman Balayan with Achtem Seitablaev in the lead role was released. The artistic black-and-white film 'We Are Here. We Are Here' tells the dramatic story of loss and love.
