Famous singer spoke about her 69-year-old father who serves in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Ukrainian singer Zlata Ognevich spoke about her father Leonid Grigorievich. Zlata's father is a colonel of the medical service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and a military surgeon. Zlata notes that her father's desire to help Ukrainian soldiers never ceases. Even at his 69 years of age, after leaves from the front, he always returns to where help is needed for wounded defenders on the front line.

“Every Time my father comes for a short leave, he says that it's it, he can't go anymore. A young surgeon finds it hard to endure an operation here, and here he is 69. But after another recovery, he says he will go again and can't sit still, twiddling his thumbs. I say: 'Dad, what about you, how are you?' And he replies: 'You won’t wait'. Dad is great,” Zlata said in an interview with 'Closer to the Stars’.

Zlata Ognevich follows her father's example and has also been helping the military for a long time. She holds charity concerts for the Ukrainian army in various parts of Ukraine. According to Zlata, she understands the importance of this cause despite the fatigue.

“I started going to charity concerts even before it became popular. I sleep in vans, dream of a peaceful sleep in a bed that doesn't move. A usual trip to the military looks like this: we leave Kyiv, drive hundreds of kilometers, give one concert, then again transition, second concert and come back home. But the military needs our support,” emphasized the singer.

Earlier, director and actor Akhtem Seitablayev spoke about the position he serves in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In an interview with Slava Demin, the actor noted that he now serves in the communications department of the Headquarters of the Territorial Defense Forces Command.
