Viktor Viktorovich Shemchuk - Ukrainian lawyer and politician.

Place of birth. Education. Born in Ternopil. In 1993, he graduated from the Faculty of Law of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.

Career. Since 1993, he worked as an assistant to the Attorney General, investigator, senior investigator of the city police in Ternopil.

In 1998, he was transferred to the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. He worked as an investigator, deputy head, head of the department for monitoring the enforcement of law by special units in the fight against organized crime of the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

From early 2005, he held the position of Deputy Attorney General of Ukraine (for Svyatoslav Piskun, then Alexander Medvedko) - Attorney General of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

From November 2008 to December 2012, he was a member of the Ukrainian Parliament of the VI convocation from the electoral bloc Our Ukraine - People's Self-Defense (contingent of the public movement People's Self-Defense, leader - Yury Lutsenko). Chairman of the Subcommittee on Improving Legislation on Administrative Offenses of the Parliamentary Committee on Legislative Security of Law Enforcement Agencies.

From March 4 to October 31, 2013, he was the head of the Lviv Regional State Administration.

In 2016, he was President of the Water Motor Sports Federation of Ukraine.

From 2017 to 2019, he was the Deputy Chairman of the Qualification and Disciplinary Commission of Prosecutors.

In 2021, he took over the leadership of the representation of the National Association of Lawyers of Ukraine in New York.

Awards. State Advisor of the 2nd class. Honored Lawyer of Ukraine.

Family. Married, one daughter.
