Anatoli Seminoga

Date of Birth: 02.03.1960

Place of Birth. Education. Born in the village of Samgorodok in the Smelyansky district of Chernihiv Oblast. In 2002, he graduated from the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics (qualification - economist).

Career. 1978-1979 - Mechanic and helmsman of the Kyiv Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant.

1981-1986, after military service, - Assistant Captain at the Kyiv Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant.

1986-1988 - Head of the power plant of the 245th municipal operational department of the Turkmen Military District. Participated in combat operations in the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan. Awarded the 'For Labor Valor' medal.

1988-1994 - Head of the Central Laboratory of the Kyiv Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant.

1994-1998 - Director of LLC Kujawija (Kyiv).

1998-2002 - Director of Kyiv LLC Maria.

2002 - Director of Kyiv LLC Agro-Ros.

2002-2004 - Deputy of Ukraine of the IV convocation of the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc (No. 22 on the election list). Member of the Finance and Banking Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

At the time of the elections, he was a member of the Ukrainian Social Democratic Party, led by Vasil Onopenko, which was part of the BYuT. He later joined Yulia Tymoshenko's party, the all-Ukrainian association 'Batkivshchyna'. Since 2005, he has been the head of the Kyiv city organization of 'Batkivshchyna'.

During the 2004 presidential elections, Seminoga led the Donetsk regional headquarters of the 'Power of the People' coalition, which supported the opposition candidate Viktor Yushchenko. He actively participated in the 'Orange Revolution'.

2006-2007 - Deputy of Ukraine of the V convocation of the BYuT (No. 15 on the list). Member of the Finance and Banking Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

2007-2012 - Deputy of Ukraine of the VI convocation of the BYuT (No. 16 on the list). Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Environmental Policy, Natural Resources, and Liquidation of the Consequences of the Chernobyl Disaster. In February 2011, Seminoga was expelled from the BYuT faction for voting for amendments to the Constitution that extended the parliament's term to five years.

In the fall of 2012, he ran as an independent candidate in constituency No. 198 of Chernihiv Oblast for the VII convocation of the Verkhovna Rada but lost to Viktor Tymoshenko.

Family Ties. Married for the second time. His first wife was Yekaterina, who died shortly after giving birth to their son Pyotr (born in 1986). He raises his daughters Bohdana and Ilona together with his second wife Lyudmila.

His younger brother Vladimir Seminoga is a member of the Kyiv City Council for several terms, a member of the BYuT faction. He was previously married to the well-known Ukrainian fashion designer Aina Gasse.
