Dmitri Anatolyevich Schimkiw - Ukrainian top manager in the field of innovations. Chairman of the Board of the Darnitsa Group. Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine (2014-2018), former CEO of Microsoft Ukraine. Member of the supervisory board of the Ukrainian Startups Fund and Kyivstar.

Place of Birth. Education. Born in Lviv. In 1997, he graduated from the Lviv State University 'Lviv Polytechnic', Faculty of Telecommunications, Radio Engineering, and Electronics. 2011 - ICT and Public Policy: The Next Wave, John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, USA.

During his studies at the university, he initiated the establishment of one of the first university computer networks in Ukraine - PolyNet.

Career. In 1998, Dmitri Schimkiw moved to Copenhagen (Denmark), where he worked at the company ALTA Copenhagen.

After returning to Ukraine, he founded the company Alfa Team in 2000, which he sold two years later to the Danish corporation ALTA A/S. After restructuring, Alfa Team was transformed into ALTA Eastern Europe, and Dmitri Schimkiw led the Research and Development Department of ALTA A/S and managed a team of developers in Denmark, Ukraine, and the USA.

2002-2006 - CEO of ALTA Eastern Europe, Kyiv, Ukraine.

Since 2003, Dmitri Schimkiw has been on the board of AIESEC in Ukraine.

2005-2007 - Expert of the Foreign Investment Working Group (Advisory Council of the President of Ukraine).

2006-2007 - CEO of RedPrairie Eastern Europe (international solutions developer for productivity), USA. At the same time, he was the chairman of the Information Technology Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine.

March 2007 - May 2009 - Sales Director in the corporate sector of Microsoft Ukraine.

Since May 2009 - CEO of Microsoft Ukraine.

Since 2010, he has been on the Board of Directors of the Bogdan Hawrylyshyn Charitable Foundation.

Since 2010 - on the board of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine.

Since 2011 - member of the Young Presidents Organization.

Since 2012, he has been a supporter of the Mystetsky Arsenal.

On July 9, 2014, Dmitri Schimkiw left his position as CEO of Microsoft Ukraine and departed from the company.

On that day, July 9, 2014, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko appointed Dmitri Schimkiw as Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration for Administrative, Social and Economic Reforms.

On August 31, 2018, Dmitri Schimkiw was dismissed from his position as Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration by presidential decree.

On September 19, 2018, Dmitri Schimkiw became Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the management company for pharmaceutical companies Darnitsa.
