Date of Birth: 12.04.1961

Place of Birth. Education. Born in Ordzhonikidze in the Dnipropetrovsk region. In 1983 he graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (Specialization - 'General Physics'). In 2001 - the State Engineering Academy of Zaporizhzhia ('Finance'). In 2005 - the National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine ('Public Administration').

Career. 1983-1994 - Employee in the production association 'Gamma'. He rose from technology engineer to deputy general director of the association - deputy director for economic affairs of the 'Gamma' plant of the production association 'Gamma' (Zaporizhzhia).

1994-1999 - Deputy Chairman of the City Council of Zaporizhzhia for the matters of the Executive Bodies of the Council (until April 1997), Deputy Chairman of the City Council for the matters of the Executive Bodies of the Council - Head of the Main Economic Department of the City Executive (April-October 1997), Deputy Mayor for the activities of the Executive Bodies of the Council - Head of the Main Economic Department of the City Council.

1999-2006 - Deputy Chairman of the Regional State Administration of Zaporizhzhia, from February to July 2006 - First Deputy Governor of Zaporizhzhia.

2006-2007 - Head of the Audit Unit of the Zaporizhzhia Region (during the gubernatorial term of Yuriy Artemenko).

From June 2007 to September 2008 - Deputy General Director for Legal Affairs and Corporate Risks of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.

From September 2008 to April 2010 - Deputy Chairman of the Regional State Administration of Zaporizhzhia under Alexander Starukha.

From April to October 2010 - Advisor to the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of 'Zaporizhzhia Automobile Plant' LLC.

On October 31, 2010, he won the mayoral elections in Zaporizhzhia. He was nominated by the opposition block of Yulia Tymoshenko (considered a creature of the people's deputy, owner of the UkrAVTO Corporation, honorary chairman Tariel Vasadze). After winning, he suspended his membership in the Fatherland party (Chairwoman - Yulia Tymoshenko), as he believed it was 'right to represent all citizens in the position of mayor and not work in the interest of a part'.

On December 10, 2014, representatives of the Radical Party led by Oleh Lyashko urged Syn to resign, but the quorum of the City Council was insufficient for the mayor's resignation.

In February 2015, he became one of the participants in a criminal proceeding related to violation of the rules for concluding contracts with top officials.

In October 2015, he ran as an independent candidate in the mayoral elections in Zaporizhzhia. He took fourth place, receiving 24,382 votes.

Personal Life. He was married to Lilia Sinyavina and has a daughter Amalia (2007). The family also raised Lilia's son Gleb (1999).
