Wiktor Schischkin

Date of Birth: 14.03.1952

Place of Birth. Education. Born in Tiraspol, Moldavian SSR. In 1973 he graduated from Tiraspol Technical School No. 2. In 1981 he graduated from the Law Faculty of Odessa National University named after Menchikov.

Career. He began his professional career in 1969. He served in the military.

After graduating from technical school in 1973, he worked as a locksmith.

After completing his studies in 1981, he was elected people’s judge at the Oleksandrivsk District Court of Kirovohrad Oblast.

From 1982 to 1985 - people's judge at the Kirov District Court of Kirovohrad.

From 1985 to 1990 - judge at the Kirovohrad Oblast Court, deputy chairman of this court.

He was a People’s Deputy of Ukraine of the I-III convocations, deputy chairman of the Legal Committee of the Ukrainian Parliament.

From 1991 to 1993 - Attorney General of Ukraine.

In November 2005, he was appointed by the President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko as a judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine. He took the oath of office on August 4, 2006.

He is the author of over 100 scientific publications in Ukraine and abroad, including “Constitutional Law on Challenging Actions of Officials in Court,” “Guaranteeing Human Rights in the Judiciary of the USA (organizational and procedural foundations),” textbooks “Court Systems of the World,” and “Fundamentals of Administrative Procedure and Administrative Law” (in collaboration).

In July 2015, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko accepted his resignation.

In 2015, he was appointed by the Ukrainian Parliament as a member of the selection committee for selecting candidates for leadership positions in the specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (based on public principles).
