Nikolai Sivulsky

Date of Birth: 12.04.1952

Place of Birth. Education. Born in the village of Zolotniki in the Terespol district of Ternopil region. In 1973, he graduated from the Ternopil Financial Institute. Doctor of Economic Sciences (1990), Professor.

Career. 1973-1975 - Assistant at the Department of Finance of Ternopil Financial Institute.

1975-1978 - Graduate student at the Department of Economic Planning and Finance of the Moscow Economic and Statistical Institute.

1978-1988 - Assistant, lecturer at the Department of Currency Circulation and Credit of Ternopil Financial Institute.

1988-1991 - PhD student at the Moscow Economic and Statistical Institute.

1991-1992 - Professor, Head of the Department of Currency Circulation and Credit at Ternopil Financial Institute.

1992-1993 - First Deputy Chairman of the Board of the National Bank of Ukraine.

1993-1994 - Deputy Chairman of the Agency for International Cooperation and Investments.

1994-1996 - First Deputy Minister of Finance.

1996-1997 - Advisor to Prime Minister Pavel Lazarenko on banking issues.

1997-1998 - President of the Ukrainian Gas Resource Consortium.

From January 2000 to January 2001, he headed the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Issues under Yulia Tymoshenko.

2003-2004 - Head of the Department of Banking at the Open International University for Human Development 'Ukraine'.

From March to September 2005, he first headed the Main Department of General Inspection and Audit of Ukraine. He resigned with the dissolution of the first government of Y. Tymoshenko.

In 2006 and 2007, he was a member of the Parliament of Ukraine (V and VI convocations) on the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc list. Member of the All-Ukrainian Association 'Motherland'.

In December 2007, the Tymoshenko government re-appointed Sivulsky as head of the Main Department of General Inspection and Audit of Ukraine.

Nikolai Sivulsky passed away on December 29, 2009, after a serious illness.

Family. Wife Tatyana Vasilyevna (born 1954) - Doctor of Economic Sciences, lecturer at the Kyiv National Economic University. Daughters Elena (born 1974) and Natalia (born 1976) - economists.
