Anatolij Tolstouchow

Anatolij Wladimirowitsch Tolstouchow - former Minister in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Advisor to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Asarov (2011-2013). Doctor of Philosophy (2004), Academician of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, member of the Party of Regions.
Place of Birth. Education. Born in Kharkiv, Donetsk Oblast. In 1978, he graduated from the State Orlovs Institute of Education with a major in 'History and English Teacher'. In 1988, he graduated from the Higher Party School.
Career. 1980-1990 - Teacher in a juvenile correctional colony, history teacher in a vocational school center, director of an eight-year boarding school, employee of the city party committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine (was a member of the CPSU from 1982 to 1991), deputy editor-in-chief of the regional newspaper 'Flag of Labor' in Volnovakha.
1990-1994 - Member of the Ukrainian Parliament of the I convocation, secretary of the Committee for Youth and Sports.
1995-1997 - Deputy Minister in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for Regional and Sociopolitical Affairs.
1997-1999 - Minister in the Cabinet of Ministers, Secretary of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in Valerij Pustovojtenko's government.
2000-2001 - Deputy Chairman of the Kyiv City District Administration of Oleksandr Omeltschenko for Education and Culture.
2001-2002 - First Deputy Chairman of the People's Democratic Party (NDP) Valerij Pustovojtenko.
2002-2004 - Member of the Ukrainian Parliament of the IV convocation. He was elected on the list of the block 'For a United Ukraine!'.
2003-2005 - Minister in the Cabinet of Ministers in the first government of Viktor Yanukovych.
2005 - First Deputy Chairman of the NDP.
From August 2006 to November 2007 - Minister in the Cabinet of Ministers in the second government of Viktor Yanukovych.
From November 2007 to March 2010 - Member of the Ukrainian Parliament of the VI convocation from the Party of Regions. Member of the Parliamentary Environmental Committee to address the aftermath of the Chernobyl disaster.
From March to December 2010 - Minister in the Cabinet of Ministers of the government of Mykola Asarov. He lost his position as part of an administrative reform.

2011–2013 - Advisor, Special Representative of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Asarov.
Social Activity. He was Deputy Chairman of the Political Council of the Party 'Labor Congress of Ukraine', member of the Presidium of the Union 'New Ukraine'. Head of the scientific project 'Ukraine Eco-Future' in the charity organization 'Center for Practical Philosophy'. Editor-in-chief of the journals 'Philosophical Thought' and 'Practical Philosophy'. Honorary President of the Foundation for the Advancement of Art Development.
Awards. Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine. Doctor of Philosophy. Awarded the Order 'For Merit' II and III class.
Family. Wife Switlana Tolstouchowa (born 1956) - former Deputy Minister for Family, Youth and Sports. Sons Oleksij (born 1978) and Valentyn (born 1983).
