Tuka Georgiy

Tuka Georgiy Borisovich- head of the Luhansk Regional Military-Civil Administration (2015-2016). Deputy Minister for Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine (2016-2019). Founder and leader of the volunteer group 'People's Rear', head of the charity fund of the same name.
Place of birth. Education. Born in Kyiv. In 1991, he graduated from the Sevastopol Instrument Engineering Institute with a specialty in automation and telemechanics, qualification - electrical engineer.
Career. He started his working career in 1986 as an installer of electrical equipment of the 3rd category in military unit 75345.
1987-1990 - worked as a doorman in Kyiv's public catering establishments, initially in the restaurant 'Odessa', then in the cafe 'Red Star' of the catering combine of Voentorg No. 418, and also in the cooperative 'Premiera'.
In 1991, he worked for two months at the small enterprise 'Yuvileks' (Kyiv), in 1991-1992 he was a leading specialist at the scientific and production cooperative 'EDEM' (Kyiv).
From August 1996 to April 1997, he was a manager of the department of energy-carrying materials and industrial goods of ATOZT 'National Investments' (Kyiv).
From April 1997 to December 1998, he was the head of the wholesale department of goods supply at ATOZT 'National Investments'.
In 1999, he worked as a senior manager of the goods supply and trading department of OTO 'Trade House Region' (Kyiv region), then as a senior manager of the private scientific and production commercial firm 'Gran' (Kyiv).
From September 1999 to December 2000, he was the director of the department of the state enterprise 'Finmash' (Kyiv).
From December 2000 to December 2003, he was the project manager of 'Trade House Corporation Till' (Kyiv).
In 2004, he was a manager at LLC 'KVK-Elektro' (Kyiv). From October 2004 to May 2005, he was the lead sales specialist at TZO 'Lacma' (Kyiv).
From July 2005, he was the head of the sales department at LLC 'N-T Telecom', in 2006 he was the deputy general director at the same enterprise.
From February 2007 to May 2010, he was the general director of LLC 'Zenit-Telecom' (Kyiv).
From May 2010 to July 2015, he was the chairman of the board of the public association People's Rear, chairman of the board of the international charity fund People's Rear.
On July 22, 2015, by decree of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, he was appointed head of the Luhansk Regional State Administration - head of the Regional Military-Civil Administration. In this position, he replaced Hennadiy Moskal, who headed the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration.
On April 29, 2016, President Poroshenko dismissed Tuka from the position of head of the Luhansk Regional State Administration, appointing Yuriy Harbuz in his place. On the same day, at a government meeting, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman announced Tuka's appointment as Deputy Minister for Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons (Vadim Chernysh).
On September 4, 2019, by the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, Georgiy Tuka was dismissed from the position of Deputy Minister for Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons.
Volunteer activity. In the spring of 2014, during the annexation of Crimea, Georgiy Tuka, together with Oleksandr Rudomanov and Roman Sinitsyn, provided support to the military in Crimea - replenishing mobile phone accounts, purchasing protective glasses. Over time, other volunteers joined them, and the community was named 'People's Rear'. The activities of the organization grew into broad support for the servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and volunteer battalions.
Awards. For merits of the III degree (2014). Family. Has a daughter and a son who serves as a volunteer in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
