Vera Iwanovna Uljantschenko - Head of the Secretariat of the President of Ukraine (2009-2010), Governor of Kyiv Oblast (2006-2009). Member of the Ukrainian party Our Ukraine, People's Deputy of Ukraine of the IV Congress.
Place of Birth. Education. Born in the village of Oserjany in the Bobrovytsia district of the Chernihiv region. In 1980, she graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Faculty of Philology.
Career. 1980-1981 - Teacher of Ukrainian language and literature at Kyiv Vocational College No. 4.
1981-1987 - Worked in the Komsomol of the Soviet District Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine and the Komsomol City Committee of Kyiv.
1987-1990 - Deputy of the District Council of the Radian district and Deputy Chairperson of the District Executive Committee of Kyiv.
1990-1991 - Ideological worker of the Rayon Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine in Kyiv.
1991-1992 - Editor in the Editorial and Publishing Department of the Secretariat of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR and later of the Supreme Council of Ukraine.
1992-1993 - Head of the Service of the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Valentyn Symonenko, who later became the Chairman of the Accounting Chamber.
In 1993 - Assistant to the Adviser of the President of Ukraine Leonid Kravchuk on scientific issues.
1993-1994 - General Representative of the shipping company Blasko in Kyiv.
1999-2000 - Head of the Department for Organizational and Informational Support of Relations with State Institutions and Enterprises of UkrSoyuzservis (Ukrainian Union of Institutions, Enterprises, and Organizations for the Domestic Services of the Population).
2000-2001 - Assistant to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko.
2002-2005 - Head of the Secretariat of the Parliamentary Fraction Our Ukraine in the Supreme Council.
2005-2006 - People's Deputy of the Our Ukraine Bloc. She combined the mandate with the position of part-time adviser to President Yushchenko.
From July 2006 to 2009 - Governor of Kyiv Oblast.
On May 19, 2009, she was appointed as the Head of the Secretariat of the President of Ukraine (as a replacement for Viktor Baloha). She left the office with the dismissal of Yushchenko in February 2010.
She was a member of the Our Ukraine party, headed the council, and was represented in the Presidium.
On July 31, 2012, Uljantschenko was removed from the list of candidates for People's Deputies at the request of the delegates of the pre-congress of the Our Ukraine party.
Investigations. On September 14, 2015, the Security Service of Ukraine placed Vera Uljantschenko on the wanted list. The wanted information was published on the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the section 'Persons hiding from the Prosecutor's Office'. The former governor was suspected of committing a crime under Article 191 Part 5 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code (appropriation, waste, or acquisition of property through abuse of power). It was reported that a preventive measure was taken.
However, on September 15, 2015, the message from the website of the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs that the Security Service of Ukraine had placed the former governor of Kyiv Oblast, Vera Uljantschenko, on the wanted list disappeared. Now there are no results under the surname 'Uljantschenko' in the search section 'Persons hiding from the Prosecutor's Office'.
Awards. Order of Princess Olga of the III degree (2008).
Family. Married. Her husband, Viktor Ivchenko, is the former chairman of the Agency for Investment and Innovations. The couple raised a daughter.
