Biography of Igor Olegovich Yusko

Igor Olegovich Yusko - Ukrainian financier, former chairman of the board of AO 'Sberbank Russia' (Ukraine).

Place of Birth. Education. Born in Mariupol, Donetsk Oblast. In 1983, he graduated from the Zhdanovsky Metallurgical Institute, and in 1987 from the Kharkiv Engineering Economic Institute.

Career. From 1983 to 1992 - steel caster, master, foreman, chief engineer of the 'Azovstal' Metallurgical Plant.

Since 1992 - First Deputy Chairman, Chairman of the Board of the First Ukrainian International Bank (Donetsk), which was controlled by the SCM group of the famous Ukrainian businessman Rinat Akhmetov.

From 1998 to 2002 - member of the Ukrainian parliament of the III Congress, deputy chairman of the Finance and Banking Committee of the Verkhovna Rada. Member of the 'Regions of Ukraine' faction. At the time of the elections, he belonged to the party of the regional revival of Ukraine (which was then called the Party of Regions).

Member of the Council of the National Bank of Ukraine (2000).

In December 2001, he was appointed Secretary of State of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, and shortly thereafter became the Minister of Finance in the government of Anatoliy Kinakh. Later, he became an advisor to the Ukrainian Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych.

Since 2002 - chairman of the supervisory boards of Uksocbank and the insurance company 'Oranta', Vice President of the Interpipe Corporation of businessman Viktor Pinchuk.

From November 2008 to January 2018 - chairman of the board of the public joint-stock company 'Subsidiary Bank of Sberbank Russia' (AO 'Sberbank Russia').

President of the Ukrainian National Mortgage Association (UNIA).

On March 22, 2010, he was appointed extraordinary advisor to the head of state by the order of President Yanukovych.

On February 24, 2014, he was dismissed from the position of extraordinary advisor to the head of state by the decree of acting President Oleksandr Turchynov.
