Vladimir Khomenko

Date of Birth: 26.07.1959

Place of Birth. Education. Born in the village of Olekseyevka in the Jägotin district of the Kyiv region.

Graduate of the Belozersky Agricultural Institute with a focus on Agronomy. Doctor of Philosophy (2002).

Career. 1981-1985 - Agronomist of the state farm Sad Podolya (Shargorod district, Vinnytsia region), Second Secretary of the District Committee of the Komsomol in Shargorod, Chief Agronomist of the state farm Sad Podolya, Plant Protection Agronomist of the state farm Zhovtnevy (Vasilkov, Kyiv region).

1985-1986 - Brigadier, Chief Agronomist in the mechanization team, Deputy Chairman of the association, Chief Agronomist of the Brovary District Agricultural Chemicals Combine.

1986-1997 - Agricultural Consultant of the Brovary District Party Committee of the CPU, Director of the livestock enterprise named after Kirov (later - KSP Novaya Ukraina, Zazimye village, Brovary district).

1993-1994 - Member of the Ukrainian Parliament of the I legislative period. Member of the Commission on Planning, Budget, Finance, and Prices.

1997-1999 - Head of the Brovary District State Administration.

1999-2002 - Head of the State Tax Administration in Kyiv region.

2002-2005 - Deputy Head, Head of the Department of the State Administration Service (under the leadership of Igor Bakai).

2005-2007 - Deputy, First Deputy of the Head of the State Administration Igor Tarasyuk.

Since July 2007 - Acting Head of the Chernihiv Regional Administration (replacing Nikolai Lavrik). In October 2007, he was appointed Head of the Chernihiv Regional Administration by order of the President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko.

In April 2010, President Viktor Yanukovych dismissed Khomenko due to the expiration of his predecessor's term as head of state and reappointed him as Head of the Chernihiv Regional Administration.

On March 3, 2014, he was dismissed from his position by order of the acting President Oleksandr Turchynov, and Vladimir Ivashko was appointed in his place.

Awards. Awarded the Order 'For Merit' of II and III degrees. Honored Worker of Agriculture of Ukraine (1998).

Family. Wife Larisa Alexandrovna (1957, teacher), sons Yuri (1979) and Alexander (1982).
