Place of Birth. Education. Born on April 21, 1958. In 1981, he graduated from the Moscow Energy Institute with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and in 1992 from the Distance Financial and Economic Institute of the USSR in Moscow with a degree in Economics.
Career. Until 1996, he worked at Aval Bank.
1996-2007. - Chairman of the Board of Mriya Bank, owned by Peter Poroshenko. He left this position after 98% of the bank's shares were sold for $70 million to the Russian VTB Bank.
2007-2014. - Head of Financial and Investment Activity of the Bogdan Group.
2008-2014. - Chairman of the Supervisory Board of JSC International Investment Bank. 60% of the bank's shares belong to Peter Poroshenko, 14.94% to Igor Kononenko. Minority shareholders also include Oleg Zimin, members of the Vorushilin family, and the deputy head of the National Security and Defense Council Oleg Gladkovsky.
On October 3, 2014, Vorushilin was appointed as the director of the fund by the decision of the board of the deposit guarantee fund for individuals. On July 17, 2019, he was dismissed from the position of the fund's director.
