Mykhail Vyschyvanyuk

Date of birth: 13.10.1952

Place of birth, education. Born in Ivanovtsi village of Kolomyia district, Ivano-Frankivsk region. In 1981 he graduated from the Dnipropetrovsk Agricultural Institute as a mechanical engineer, in 1999 - the Prykarpattia University named after V. Stefanyk as a lawyer. Candidate of Economic Sciences.

Career. He began his professional career after the technical school in 1971 as the workshop manager of the VI-304/41 enterprise of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the village of Tovmachyk, Kolomyia district. After military service (1971-1973), he returned there.

1974-1981 - Safety engineer, head of the department, deputy chairman for feed production at the collective farm Dorogoi Lenina.

1981-1997 - Chairman of the collective farm S. Melnychuk, chairman of the farmers' union S. Melnychuk, chairman of the joint-stock company 'Stepan Melnychuk'.

1997-2005 - Head of the Ivano-Frankivsk regional administration.

2002-2006 - Deputy of the Ivano-Frankivsk regional council.

On March 26, 2010, he was appointed head of the Ivano-Frankivsk regional administration by decree of the Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych.

On November 7, 2013, he was dismissed from his position as head of the Ivano-Frankivsk regional administration by decree of the president.

From November 8, 2013 to February 25, 2014, he was an advisor to the Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych.

Awards. Honored Economist of Ukraine, Honored Agronomist. Awarded the Order of 'For Merit' II-III class and the Medal 'For Labor Achievement'.

Family ties. Married, has one son and one daughter.

Death. Mykhail Vyschyvanyuk died on June 18, 2016, in Austria, where he was undergoing treatment.
