Biography of Oleg Zarubinsky

Oleg Alexandrovich Zarubinsky - former member of the Ukrainian Parliament (Party of Regions).
Place of Birth. Education. Born in Vinnitsa. In 1984, he graduated from the Vinnitsa State Pedagogical Institute with a degree in History and Social Studies teaching. In 1998, he graduated from the Ternopil National Economy Academy as an economist.
Doctor of Historical Sciences. Professor of Political Science.
Career. From 1985 to 1989, after finishing the institute and military service, he was the head of the philosophy department, lecturer at the Vinnitsa State Pedagogical Institute.
From 1989 to 1992, he was a graduate student at the Department of History of the Kyiv State Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages.
From 1992 to 1998, he was a senior lecturer, lecturer, head of the Department of Political Science at the Vinnitsa State Pedagogical Institute.
In the years 1998-2002 and 2002-2006, he was a member of the III-IV convocation of the Ukrainian Parliament.
From 2006 to 2007, he was a graduate student at the Institute of Political and Ethnological Studies named after I. Kuras of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
From 2007 to 2012, he was a member of the VI convocation of the Ukrainian Parliament, a member of the Litvin Bloc faction. Chairman of the Committee on Human Rights, National Minorities, and Interethnic Relations. Member of the temporary parliamentary commission to investigate possible violations of Ukrainian law by the Mayor of Kharkiv, Mikhail Dobkin, and the secretary of the Kharkiv City Council, Gennadiy Kernes. In December 2008, he was appointed deputy chairman of the Litvin Bloc faction.
From December 2012 to November 2014, he was a member of the VII convocation of the Ukrainian Parliament for the Party of Regions (No. 38 on the list). First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Fuel and Energy Sector, Nuclear Policy, and Nuclear Safety of the Verkhovna Rada. He was a member of the preparatory committee of the Verkhovna Rada. Non-partisan. Member of the Party of Regions faction.
On January 16, 2014, he voted for the 'Dictator Laws' - a package of undemocratic laws that severely restricted citizens' rights and freedom of speech.
Awards and Titles. He was awarded the Order 'For Merit' of I class.
Family. Wife - Inna Zarubinskaya (born 1971), daughter - Olga Zarubinskaya (born 1996).
