Nikolai Zlochevsky

Biography
Date of Birth: 14.06.1966
Place of Birth, Education. Born in Kiev. In 1988, he graduated from the Kyiv Higher Air Defense Engineering Institute named after Marshal of Aviation Pokryshkin with a specialization in Radio Engineering of Electronic Technology. In 2002, he graduated from the International University of Economics and Law with a specialization in Accounting and Audit.
Career. 1983-1991 - Military service.
1991-1999 - Management positions in commercial structures, including Deputy Director of LLC Infox (Kiev).
1999-2000 - Chairman of the Board of LLC Ukrnefteservis.
1998-2000 - Member of the Entrepreneurs' Coordinating Council under the President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma.
2000-2002 - Vice President of LLC Infox.
2002-2004 - Deputy of the IV Parliament of Ukraine from the Social Democratic Party (united).
2003-2005 - Chairman of the State Committee for Natural Resources.
2005-2006 - Vice President of the International Charitable Foundation of Lawyers.
2006-2007 - Deputy of the V Parliament from the Party of Regions. Member of the Parliamentary Committee of Ukraine for Fuel and Energy Complex, Nuclear Policy and Nuclear Safety.
2007-2011 - Deputy of the VI Parliament from the Party of Regions. Member of the Budget Committee of Parliament.
On March 25, 2010, he was appointed Chairman of the State Committee of Ukraine for Material Reserves by the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Nikolai Azarov.
On June 2, 2010, he was appointed Minister of Ecology of Ukraine. On December 9, 2010, he was appointed Head of the reorganized Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources. In April 2012, he was removed from his position by order from President Viktor Yanukovych. He was succeeded by Eduard Stavytsky.
Since April 23, 2012, he has been the Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (Andriy Klyuyev).
On February 26, 2014, he was dismissed from his position as Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council by order of acting President Oleksandr Turchynov.
Member of the Party of Regions.
Criminal Case. The former minister is involved in a case where officials of the Ministry of Ecology issued permits for the use of mineral resources to companies associated with Zlochevsky during the years 2010-2012. The former minister controls the company Burisma Holdings Limited. Since November 2019, he has been wanted in connection with investigations into the activities of Burisma.
Family Relations. Married. Two daughters: Karina (1991) and Anna (1999).
