Leonid Zhunko

Date of Birth: 06.09.1951

Place of Birth. Education. He was born in the village of Krasnoe in the Markovsky District of the Luhansk Region.

In 1974, he graduated from the Melitopol Institute of Mechanization of Agriculture (Mechanical Engineering). In 1991, he graduated from the Ukrainian School of International Business (with a focus on Foreign Economic Activity, Organization of Trade and Financial Organizations).

Career. 1975-1985 - Chief Engineer of the Repair Workshop of the Collective and Factory Farm Zolotaya Balka (Sevastopol).

1985-1992 - Deputy Chairman, First Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Balaklava District Council of Sevastopol.

1992-1994 - Deputy Chairman of the City Council of Sevastopol.

1995-1997 - Director of the Sevastopol Company Sevagrotrans.

1997-1998 - Head of the State Tax Inspection in the Nahkimov District of Sevastopol.

1998-1999 - Head of the Main Tax Administration of Sevastopol.

1999-2005 - Head of the City Council of Sevastopol.

2006-2007 - Head of the Department of Regional Development and Construction of Sevastopol. In 2007, he voluntarily served as an advisor to the Minister of Regional Development and Construction, Vladimir Yatsuba.

In January 2008, he was appointed by a decree from President Viktor Yushchenko as the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. In March 2010, he was dismissed by President Viktor Yanukovych.

He was a member of the People's Party (Group Leader - Vladimir Litvin).

From July 8, 2011, to February 2015, he was the Director of the National Reserve 'Chersonesos Taurica'.

After the annexation of Crimea by Russia in 2014, he acquired Russian citizenship and lives in Sevastopol.

Awards. He was awarded the Order 'For Merit' III Class.

Family. Married, has two daughters.
