Antytila released a new clip Vidkoli: a symbolic story about love and farewell.
According to ТСН: The Ukrainian music band 'ANTYTILA' has presented a new song titled 'Vidkoli', for which an emotional video has been released, consisting of slow metaphorical scenes.
Theme and Visual Style
This composition immerses the listener into a state of silence, pain, and memory – those moments when love is no longer expressed in words but lives in glances and touches. The clip especially focuses on kisses – both youthful and mature, tender and overflowing with military experiences. The band's lead singer Taras Topolya appears on screen with his torso bare.
Symbolism in the Video Work
The shooting took place against a black background among white eustomas, which symbolize pure feelings and fidelity. Several scenes were filmed against the backdrop of cherry blossoms, embodying the transience of life and the fragility of farewells. All these symbols create a philosophical story about feelings capable of surviving time.
Technical Aspects of Filming
This is one of the first Ukrainian video works filmed with the Alexa 35 Xtreme camera, which allows for the hypnotic plasticity of each emotion and ensures maximum cinematic quality of the frames.
'"Vidkoli" is about a state familiar, unfortunately, to many in Ukraine during this difficult time. When there are no more emotions, arguments, clarifications, and conclusions. But there is a silent silence that thunders louder than any words. The clip does not tell a linear story – it exists as a state, as a series of emotional bursts that come together into a shared memory of love that does not disappear without a trace,' commented frontman Taras Topolya.
We cannot fail to mention that recently Taras and Olena Topolya announced their divorce after 12 years of marriage. The former partners made a stunning statement that attracted considerable public attention.
Thus, the new song 'Vidkoli' and the accompanying video not only demonstrate the band's creative achievements but also reflect the deep emotions characteristic of modern Ukraine. Taras Topolya, through his music, tries to convey what society is experiencing, drawing attention to important aspects of life and love in difficult times.
