33-year-old Tyler gained popularity after appearing on the MTV reality show '16 and Pregnant' in 2009, as well as in its spin-off 'Teen Mom'.

In the podcast “Cate and Ty: Break It Down,” Tyler spoke about his autism, noting that he initially felt ‘very sad’.
When his wife Caitlyn Lowell asked about his reaction to the diagnosis, Tyler replied:
“It was like a big relief. And then it became sad, and I thought, wow.”
Caitlyn asked why he was sad, to which Tyler said:
“Because I thought about all the hardships I went through as a child.”

Tyler also discussed his behavior as a child and admitted:
“I knew I didn't fit the standard. I wanted to draw, but my mom said I needed to play baseball.”
