According to The Sun: The star of the films 'In Her Shoes' and 'Mrs. Doubtfire', Polly Holliday, has died at the age of 88. This was reported by her representative and long-time friend Denis Asplund, noting that the actress passed away in Manhattan on September 9.

Polly will be best remembered for her role as the cheerful waitress Florence Jean Castleberry on the sitcom 'Alice', which aired in the 1970s. She also reprised this role in the spin-off 'Flo'.

Among her iconic roles are Gloria Chaney in 'Mrs. Doubtfire' and Marva Kulp in the film 'In Her Shoes', which came out in 1998.
