According to The Sun: Howard Stern stunned his fans by postponing his long-awaited return to the SiriusXM show at the last minute.

According to exclusive data from The U.S. Sun, his scheduled return on September 2 has been pushed back by a week due to professional and personal circumstances.

Stern's team is actively promoting his return on SiriusXM platforms and Instagram, claiming that the radio host will return on Tuesday to discuss the potential cancellation of his show.

One insider reported that the host is absent due to 'personal matters' and emphasized that this is not just a publicity stunt to raise interest in the show.

Sources also noted that Stern's 97-year-old mother is in serious condition.

It has also been revealed that Stern, who has achieved significant financial success, is negotiating with agents regarding a new deal with SiriusXM as his previous $500 million contract expires this fall.

“He hasn't disappeared completely; he will return even if it's just to properly retire and pass the torch.”

However, one insider emphasized that negotiations for the contract extension are not progressing as Stern would like.

“The situation is not developing in his favor. If all was well, he would have already said something to his fans, even if it was a pre-recorded 10-minute story.”

Despite keeping his fans in uncertainty for another week, early sources stated that he is “a master of intrigue.”

“Why destroy the story when it generates so much attention and makes people listen?”

THE FUTURE OF STERN'S SHOW IN QUESTION

Earlier in August, it was reported that Stern's show on SiriusXM is likely to be canceled as the radio company plans to make him an offer that will not match his current, extraordinarily high contract.

One insider noted: “Stern's contract expires in the fall, and while Sirius plans to make him an offer, they do not expect him to accept it.”

He also added that “Sirius and Stern will never agree on the amount he wants. It is no longer beneficial for the investments.”

Sources also claimed that the company plans to negotiate the preservation of a large archive of his show.

“But regarding his return to the show, there’s no doubt they can no longer pay his salary.”

One insider also noted that Stern cannot stand the popularity of podcaster Alex Cooper, host of the show Call Her Daddy.

“She is the one he does not favor,” explained the insider.
