Thomas Tuchel calls up newcomer to the England national team: who got the debut chance.
Recruiting a new player to the England team
According to The Sun: The head coach of the England national team, Thomas Tuchel, unexpectedly called up to the team a Premier League player who has no experience playing for the national team yet.
Tuchel, 52, announced the squad on Friday for upcoming matches against Wales and Latvia, surprising many with his choice.

Nico O'Reilly, 20, received a last-minute call up after Chelsea captain Reece James had to withdraw from the tournament due to injury.
James was injured during the victory over Liverpool with a score of 2:1 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
O'Reilly could debut for the England national team in a friendly match against Wales on Thursday or in a qualifying match for the World Cup in Latvia next Tuesday.
The player has progressed through the youth teams from U-15 to U-20.
This season he has one assist in nine appearances in all competitions.
The player, who wears number 8, has played only 15 matches in the Premier League throughout his career since debuting in 2024.
However, the central midfielder started in seven of Manchester City's nine matches this season.
Tuchel's decision
O'Reilly's call-up was not the only surprising decision by Tuchel when announcing the England squad. The German coach also decided not to include Real superstar Jude Bellingham as he is still not in proper form.
Tuchel said: “The last gathering was only three and a half weeks ago. Teamwork and team spirit were at the highest level.”
“That is why we decided to invite the same group to stabilize what we have started to build.”
“Are there players who deserve to be with us? Yes, definitely. Is there a way back to the team through performances? 100 percent.”
“We believe this is the best and most straightforward decision. The competition for places in the squad and on the field continues.”
“Jude is a very special player, and for special players there can be special rules, but for this gathering, we decided to stick to our decision.”
“He has not yet gathered his form and has not finished a single match.”
Tuchel also decided not to include O'Reilly’s Manchester City teammates Phil Foden and Jack Grealish, who is currently on loan at Everton, despite their strong starts to the season.
This call-up creates new competition in the team, considering the positive form of young O'Reilly, who continues to progress in his career. Meanwhile, Tuchel's decision not to include several stars from other clubs indicates his intentions to maintain stability in a team that has already achieved some success. Whether O'Reilly can justify the coach's trust is the question that everyone is now asking before his national team debut.
