Tom, the younger brother of TOWIE star Cara Kilby, admitted that he felt scared during his hospitalization. He shared the news on Instagram, describing his health condition.

“Pneumonia really tested me, it was the scariest and toughest moment of my health.

“The NHS and Charing Cross hospital took care of me like heroes, and I will always be grateful.”

“There is still a bit of recovery to go, but I am on the road to returning, and I thank my girlfriend @ninasofey for taking care of me.”

Tom did not specify when he contracted pneumonia and how long he stayed in the hospital.

Cara Kilby's family struggles

Meanwhile, Tom's sister, Cara, and her family have also faced numerous medical challenges over the past year. In December, Cara reported that her son Yagger was seriously injured during a visit to Santa.

Cara noted that the festive outing with her then two-year-old son unexpectedly ended with a broken finger.

This incident occurred just weeks after Cara reported that she had taken Yagger back to the hospital because he was 'feeling very unwell'. Also, months earlier, her daughter was admitted to intensive care due to an accident during a holiday.

Cara joined the show 'The Only Way Is Essex' in September 2011, appearing as the best friend of Billie McLoughlin. Tom soon became part of that show as well.

Tom Kilby's health situation draws the attention of fans, reminding everyone of the unpredictability of life. Importantly, the dynamics of challenges within the Kilby family can serve as an example of how important it is to support each other in tough times.
