Trump will offer Musk a position in the administration if he wins the election - Media.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump plans to offer billionaire Elon Musk a government position if he wins the election, American media reports.
As the publications write, in an interview with Reuters, Trump hinted that he would like to offer Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk a position in the cabinet or as an advisor if he wins the US presidential election.
Trump praised the billionaire for his contribution to technology, especially in the field of electric vehicles and space exploration. He stated that Musk could play a valuable role in his cabinet or as an advisor, depending on the readiness of the Tesla and SpaceX leader to accept such a decision.
The Republican candidate also stated that he would consider canceling a $7.5 thousand tax credit for some new electric vehicles. CNBC notes that this could impact Tesla's business, which sells electric vehicles.
It should be noted that Musk supported Trump in July after an attempt was made on the former US president's life during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania.
In the November election, Trump will face Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic Party candidate.
