US President Donald Trump spoke about Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and the Russian-Ukrainian war. This was reported by Jennifer Jacobs, a senior CBS News correspondent to the White House.

In a morning radio interview, Trump stated that Putin wants to make a deal with Ukraine but does not necessarily have to, as he can get the whole country. He also emphasized that he is not trying to portray Putin as better or nicer, but merely stating the fact that the war should not have happened.

Trump accused Biden and Zelensky of starting the conflict due to their incorrect statements. He said they were attacked by someone stronger, but Russia could have been easily convinced not to start this.

The US President noted that Zelensky was not invited to the meeting due to his ineffective negotiations. Also, in his opinion, there should not have been a war, and if it started, it should have been resolved and settled immediately.

Trump acknowledged that Russia attacked Ukraine and stated that this war was unnecessary. However, after negotiations in Kyiv, he called Zelensky a 'determined and courageous leader.'
